Israel Japan Fund is a venture capital firm founded in 2023 by Yuki Takazawa and Shay Hugi, two seasoned entrepreneurs and angel investors with extensive experience in the Israeli and Japanese startup scenes. Our goal is to bridge the gap between these two ecosystems, providing Israeli investors with access to the hot and bubbling Japanese startup scene, while also supporting Japanese startups with funding, guidance, and access to resources in Israel.

We understand that investing in the Japanese startup scene can be challenging for Israeli investors, due to distance, cultural differences, and language barriers. That's why we leverage our expertise and deep knowledge of both countries to identify potential and raise funds, making it easier for Israeli investors to invest in Japanese startups.

We also offer bi-annual reporting to keep investors informed. Our terms for investors include a yearly management fee of 1.8% and a 20% earn-out on exit.

Our terms for startups include seed/round A funding, with a preference for founders who are dedicated to their work and have extreme passion to succeed.
